How Much Is Too Much?

Have you ever caught yourself asking that?  At your desk with a pile of bills in front of you?  At the kitchen table as you notice your plate is almost empty, but you know you can eat a little more?   At the grocery store when your cart is overflowing with unnecessary items?  In your car as you're pushing the speed limit hoping no police are around?   At a gas station while you watch your money you worked hard for is quickly slipping away?
So, how much is too much?  We seem to be asking that question more and more.  We are all stressed out and tired and just want to go home, lay back in our favorite chair and do what we love.  Maybe it's catching up on your TV show, watching movies, surfing the web, drawing, reading, knitting, writing, or just taking a nap.   We go to work or school all day and would just want to relax but we might have to run the kids around, do some errands, go pick up a gallon of milk and some eggs from the store.  You're already drained from the day but somehow we always seem to dig deep to find the strength and the willingness to do those things.  Maybe you're doing it for your spouse, your kids, a loved one, a friend, or just for yourself.
God doesn't and will never put too much on your plate.  He know exactly what you can and can't handle.  He is doing what's best for you and always will.  He watches you struggle, stumble, and fall down but He also sees you get right back up again.  If you don't feel like you can get back up, reach for His hand.  He is always there, day and night.  So, let God worry about that question because He knows you better than you know yourself.

He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.” -Matthew 17:20
